Chaldean System

Chaldean Numerology

The Chaldean System of numerology has its roots in Ancient Babylon. This system is related to the Vedic System of India and the Kabbalah System of the Hebrew mystics.

The underlying premise of Chaldean numerology is that every letter has a unique vibration. Numbers are assigned to letters based on the vibrational value. In the Pythagorean System of numerology

numbers are assigned by sequence. The Chaldean System has largely been replaced by the Pythagorean System.

Letters are assigned numeric values from 1 to 8.

1 - A I J Q Y

2 - B K R S

3 - C G L X

4 - D M T

5 - E H N

6 - U V W

7 - O Z

8 - F P

Chaldean Numerology is the older numerology of the two numerology systems. While Chaldean Numerology is considered more accurate, it's less popular. This is because the Chaldean Numerology system is not as easy to master, and the alphabet values are not in as systematic an order as the other Numerology system. The name, when analyzed under Chaldean Numerology, gives a more occult or metaphysical flavor to the destiny that's interwoven into the person's character. Chaldean Numerology indicates the hidden forces or invisible strings at play behind the scenes.

The Chaldean Numerology method also differs in that it goes by the name you're most known by, and this could be a nick name or just the surname. For example the name Robert is 2+7+2+5+2+4= 22 further reduced (2+2= 4). A common nick name for Robert is Bob, which adds up to 11 (1+1= 2). If you were to use the Pythagorean System then Robert = 33, which would further be reduced down to (3+3) = 6.

After the name, the birth number the day of the month on which you were born is considered to be the next most important factor in Chaldean Numerology. The birth day number affects the personality, health, and other factors in Chaldean Numerology The Chaldean Numerology approach is very ancient and accurate. Chaldean Numerology was developed by the Chaldeans long time ago, who once occupied the southern part of Babylonia. Because of their long and diligent study of the occult, the people of Chaldea became well known for their contributions to astronomy, mathematics, and other sciences, particularly Astrology and Numerology. So adept were these Chaldean people in the metaphysical arts, that their name became synonymous with such studies.

The Chaldean Numerology system takes both your name and birth-date into consideration. The analysis of your name under Chaldean Numerology system uses only the name you are most known by, instead of your original name given at birth (a requirement of the Pythagorean system).

In the Chaldean Numerology system the numbers only go from 1 to 8, and not 1 to 9 - this means the transposition of the numbers assigned to the alphabet is different than in the Pythagorean counterpart. Below is the Chaldean Numerology chart:

Chaldean Numerology Number Values

As you may already have noticed, no alphabet letter was assigned to the number 9. The reason why the number 9 was omitted under Chaldean Numerology system was because the Chaldeans felt the 9 was holy, sacred, and thus to be held apart from the rest. However, should your name or that of someone you know total 9, then the 9 remains.

All numbers, whether found under this system or the Pythagorean one, have basically the same meanings, symbols, nature, and character. This seems to be the universal rule of all number systems.

However, under the Chaldean Numerology system, it isn't enough to know what the single numbers mean. One must also know what the "compound," or "double," numbers mean is well. The single Chaldean Numerology number simply represents the physical outward appearance of a person's name, whereas the compound Chaldean Numerology number represents the deeper, metaphysical, hidden influences or forces behind the name. For example, although the name Robert adds up to the single number 4, the name also has three compound numbers—22 in the first name, also take into account the compound numbers for the middle and last name.

Once the physical (single number) and metaphysical (compound number) aspects of your name have been determined, the next important step is your date of birth.

Your date of birth means the day of the month you were born under, for it too has its own occult symbology and significance. Your date of birth is extremely important because it is unchangeable and therefore a constant, like the needle pointing north on a compass. A person may undergo a series of name changes over the years because of marriage, adoption, and the like, but the birth date remains the same.

Chaldean Compound Number Vibrations

Here are some of the vibrations in Chaldean numerology. You can calculate your vibration with the Chaldean Numerology vibrations table pictured above and find out if your first, last name or first and last name together have a good or bad vibrations.

Single numbers denote what you appear to be in the eyes of others, while the double or compound numbers show the hidden influences that play a role behind the scenes and some mysterious way often foreshadow the future.

All the numbers from 10 upwards, become compound numbers and have a meaning of their own distinct from the root number. We do not know how and in what age these compound numbers were discovered. We can only say that they appear to have always existed. The meanings ascribed to the numbers 1 to 9 belong to the physical or material side of things and compound numbers from 10 onwards belong to the more occult or spiritual side of life. Distinct symbolism has been given to the compound numbers up to that mysterious number of 52.

The universally accepted symbolism of the compound numbers in ancient times was given in pictures and may still be found in the Tarot Cards which have been handed down to us from ancient times and whose origin is lost in antiquity.

11.
This is an ominous number to occultists. It gives warning of hidden dangers, trial, and treachery from others. It has a symbol of a "Clenched Hand", and "a Lion Muzzled", and of a person who will have great difficulties to contend against.

12.
The symbolism of this number is suffering and anxiety of mind. It is also indicated as "the Sacrifice" or "the Victim" and generally foreshadows one being sacrificed for the plans or intrigues of others.

13.
This is a number indicating change of plans, place and such-like and is not unfortunate, as is generally supposed. In some of the ancient writings it is said, "He who understands the number 13 will be given power and dominion". It is symbolized by the picture of a "Skeleton" of "Death," with a scythe reaping down men, in a field of new-grown grass where young faces and heads appear cropping up on every side. It is a number of upheaval and destruction. It is a symbol of "Power" which if wrongly used will wreak destruction upon oneself. It is a number of warning of the unknown or unexpected, if it becomes a "compound" number in one's calculations.

14.
This is a number of movement, combination of people and things, and danger from natural forces such as tempests, water, air or fire. This number is fortunate for dealings with money, speculation and changes in business, but there is always a strong element of risk and danger attached to it, but generally owing to the actions and fool hardiness of others. If this number comes out in calculations of future events the person should be warned to act with caution and prudence.

15.
This is a number of occult significance, of magic and mystery; but as a rule it does not represent the higher side of occultism, its meaning being that the persons represented by it will use every art of magic they can to carry out their purpose. If associated with a good or fortunate single number, it can be very lucky and powerful, but if associated with one of the peculiar numbers, such as a 4 or an 8, the person it represents will not hesitate to use any sort of art, or even ''black-magic," to gain what he or she desires.

It is peculiarly associated with "good talkers," often with eloquence, gifts of music and art and a dramatic personality, combined with a certain voluptuous temperament and strong personal magnetism. For obtaining money, gifts, and favours from others it is a fortunate number.

16.

It is a fortunate number if it works out in relation to future events, provided it is not associated with the single number of fours and eights.

This number has a difficult symbolism to translate. It is pictured as "a rayed moon from which drops of blood are falling; a wolf and a hungry dog are seen below catching the falling drops of blood in their opened mouths, while still lower a crab is seen hastening to join them." It is symbolic of materialism striving to destroy the spiritual side of the nature. It generally associates a person with bitter quarrels, even family ones, also with war, social upheavals, revolutions; and in some cases it indicates making money and position thorough wars or by wars. It is however a warning of treachery, deception by others, also danger from the elements such as storms, danger from water, fires and explosions. It is not a material number and consequently is a doubtful one as far as worldly success is concerned.
